This is a travel program where you support a community project with your time and effort. The core goal is for you to have a great experience of the local culture.

The program includes being accompanied or having access to trained staff at all times, hygienic food and fire safety.

You pay because this is a travel program. A significant amount of money is required to provide you with essential services, such as food, transportation, and accommodation.

None is required. The activities are designed to meaningfully engage participants who do not have any prior training or experience in the kind of work that is done. You will be provided training on how to do your work and onsite support.

All age groups are welcome. Participants under 18 years of age are permitted to join, provided they have a permission release letter from their parents.

Certain programs can be customized to suit your specific dates of travel. Note that there are likely to be extra costs for these special arrangements.

The work placement allotment is a combination of your project choice and the requirements of the community.

The fee covers services you avail, such as your accommodation, food, transportation, trips, airport transfers, intercity travel, weekend excursions (if included), workshops, and materials you use.

You will have work during weekdays. On an average day, you would work for about 5 hours.

You will receive extensive support every day in planning and preparing for your work. You also get access to materials, resources, and work reports from previous volunteers to help you plan.

  • Yes. Depending on your program, location, and duration, workshops such as Yoga, Saree tying, Cooking, Henna painting, Dancing, and Local Language learning may be included.

We actively discourage donations in the form of money and/or material. This is because donated material does not support the local economy and can cause unsustainable dependence on the volunteers.

All program fees will be refunded as per the refund and cancellation policy, irrespective of the reason for cancellation.

Medical facilities are available near all our locations, and transport to a facility will be offered if needed. You will need to pay for medical expenses directly, which you can claim from your travel insurance later.
